Is Cancer Bigger than God?

It would certainly seem that cancer is bigger and more powerful than God because it seems to be the most talked about disease these days.  There’s breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, etc.  There’s a cancer for every organ.

Unfortunately, with all of the diseases we have in the world, we have a tendency to make those diseases more powerful than God and sometimes even attribute such awful things to God.  Not only did God NOT give anyone a disease, He sent Jesus to die to remove the curse of the Old Covenant and make a New Covenant with us (Gal 3:13).  Even the Old Covenant promised that there wouldn’t be diseases if they obeyed God (Deut 28), so why would the New Covenant be any less?  It’s not!  In fact, the New Covenant is so much better because we get the blessings without the curses because of Jesus’ perfect obedience!

Leprosy was a common disease when Jesus was on earth and it was highly contagious, yet we never heard of a single account of one of God’s elect getting leprosy even when they came into contact with a leper.  Therefore, we should not expect to “catch” diseases just because we live in a world with disease.  We should expect to be immune because of the blood of Jesus that carries the immunity to every disease!

When you go to the doctor for an illness, more than likely you are going to get some medicine.  If you don’t put the medicine “in your mouth” then it will have no effect on your illness.  God’s medicine is His Word and His Word needs to be in your MOUTH!  If you want God’s Healing to manifest in your body then speak His Word on a regular basis, especially if you are suffering from an illness.  Check what is in your mouth and see if you are talking about your illness more than you are talking about God’s healing power!  Talking about your illness is giving praise to the devil, but talking about God’s power is giving praise to God.

Psalm 103Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.  He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.  He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.  He fills my life with good things.  My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! (NLT)

Let’s Pray:  My Heavenly Healer, Thank You Jesus for taking all the curses on Your body and for cleansing me with Your blood.  Thank You for redeeming me from cancer and every other sickness.  I reject sickness and disease because I was healed by Your stripes.  In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.  Amen.

I’m agree with you, I think that I’m not living as a daughter of our Father. After lived with many fears and failures of the disciples in front of many difficult situations, They began to live in a different way after Jesus resurrected. Act 3:1-10. Peter didn’t ask God, do you want to heal? Peter healed many people with the authority of Jesus. You can see Peter completely different.

      Martha,

Yes, the disciples were completely different once they received God’s power (the Holy Spirit). That’s what makes us different as well, but we can limit God’s power with our fear and doubt.

You are absolutely correct – Peter healed everyone that wanted to be healed. God’s will is for us not to be sick, but if we are sick, it is His will that we be healed. We should never question HIS will for healing. After we settle that in our hearts, then we must want to be healed.

Totally true Marianne and I love that one statement especially: “If you don’t put the medicine “in your
mouth” then it will have no effect on your illness. God’s medicine is
His Word and His Word needs to be in your MOUTH! ” I have been speaking healing confessions over myself and my family for close to 30 years! Cancer happens to run in my natural family on both sides – but I know my children and I will not have it because we have a new, better Bloodline! Great post.

      Ann,

Just because something is ours doesn’t mean we don’t have to claim it. If we win the lottery, we have to claim the prize. God told the Israelites the Promised Land was theirs, but they had to claim it. Jesus said healing is ours, but we must claim it.

That’s wonderful that you have been claiming your healing (speaking healing confessions) for so many years. It makes sense that you are so healthy! Amen to the fact that you and your family will not get cancer because you have a better bloodline!

Thank God for the Jesus gene!

      Have a Victorious Day!
