I surrendered my life to Jesus on May 9, 2002 and my life has gotten progressively better in every way because of God’s presence and power in my life. What God has done for me, He can do for you too.
Although I experience trials much less often than I did without Jesus, I still have situations that cause me to ask WHY? In fact, I sometimes exhaust myself trying to find the answer to my questions, but even if I get an answer it’s not going to change what’s already happened. Often, the more I ask WHY, the less I trust God and the more likely I am to try to resolve the problem in my own power, but my self-made solutions are never God’s best.
God is NOT the author of our problems, nor is it His will for bad things to happen to us (John 10:10), BUT GOD will work all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). If we could just cast our cares on God and leave our cares with God, He WILL change the situation or He WILL give us the guidance to change it. God IS the solution to every problem.
Jesus asks, “How can I help you?”
IT IS WRITTEN
God CANNOT lie, so rest in the truth of God’s Word. Don’t worry about temporary circumstances that seem to be contrary to God’s Word.
If you have a health problem, rest in “It is written that you ARE/WERE healed by the stripes of Jesus.” (Isaiah 53:5, 1Peter 2:24) Envision yourself healed and look for evidence of your healing manifesting. Don’t look for evidence that you aren’t healed by focusing on symptoms.
If you have a financial problem, rest in “It is written that God will supply all of your needs according to His riches.” (Philippians 4:19) Envision all of your bills paid and money left over just like when Jesus fed the crowds of thousands with a boy’s lunch and had leftovers. Focus on God’s promise of provision and not on your bank balance.
If you have a relationship problem, rest in “It is written that love never fails.” (1Corinthians 13:8) Even if you aren’t on speaking terms with someone, you can ask God to bless them. If nothing else, you can ask God to love others for you if you feel no love for them. Focus on ways to love people rather than on how others have been unloving towards you.
Let’s Pray: Thank You Lord for being the ultimate problem solver! Thank You for giving us Your Word with examples of how You have solved the problems of others. It is written that You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8), so that gives us assurance that what You have done for others, You will do for us. I look forward to seeing how You resolve every problem in my life.
